I so firmly used to be a summer girl. The swim practice early mornings and meets all weekend, the sun and smell of chlorine, the Little House on the Prairie watched from my mom's bed after swim practice with little brown bags of candy. Playing all day and well into the evening on the golf course behind my house. Nights at our ranch house spent sitting on the porch. Summer has held such fantastic and magical memories for me. But now, as I grow older, and have moved further North, I truly love the winter. I wonder if this love for cold, still, crisp, and sometimes unforgiving weather is reflected by the type of person I have become. I would bet that more than a few folks could use the adjectives above to describe me.

Now if I had a vacation house...it would be a different story.

Manfriend and I stopped by this little gem in the LES the other afternoon when we were out gallivanting around: Assembly New York. There was a cute little bird, Sweet Pea, hopping around on a ledge in front of a mirror. Too cute! The find I wanted is above. The softest cashmere sweater ever. And it was on sale.
